Distance: 16km
Starting the year right and losing those extra calories intake during Christmas holidays are my asap goals this year. And joining this year’s PSE Bull Run is one way to do it. PSE BullRun 16k route is a combination of kalayaan flyover and mckinley hill. As I don’t usually train on hills and considered as one of my weak points, the goal is to break that barrier, achieve a new 16km PR and finishing it strong.

My km10 split was at sub47mins and I still felt good at that time. Kalayan Flyover was done, now comes the mckinley hill route. Somewhere at Lawton Ave, I slowed down a bit to replenish myself both mentally and physically before entering the dreaded route. I planned to maintain my usual pace and thank GOD I was able to. During those 4kms of hills, I was thinking of something else(FOOOOOD). I think it was all mental… 🙂

Finished 32nd place out of 1,100 runners at 1:16:48. Breaking barrier, new pr and finished strong.
